February 3 – Amaryllis

            Last year this bulb sent up an amaryllis stem and flower that was three feet tall.  This year, it did not have enough steam, so it grew an interesting curled stem.  (Those are the ukes we brought back from Rapa Nui. They sound awful but look great.)
